My husband suffers from depression, and tried to take different types of medication, they seem not to work or he has problems with his stomach in takeing the depression medications. Were looking into TMS therapy it's approved FDA but most insurance do not want to pay . My husband has Medicare and an alternative insurance that goes by the meicare guidelines. I know this is very expensive and for this reason we are hesitating. He's really down and out and maybe we will try it for awhile to see if he can experience any help. please respomd Thanks

I am a TMS coordinator in Florida (Treasure Coast). [There are centers in every region of Florida] and over 200 centers throughout the United States. We are seeing an amazing remittance rate here at TMS of the Treasure Coast, and are so exciting to be the first to bring it to the TC. I would enjoin anyone that is interested in TMS or know someone that is suffering from Major Depressive Disorder to go the the Neuronetics.com site or give them a call at 1-877-600-7555 and let them help you find a center.

There is nothing like this out there, at all. And once you've had the therapy you'll wonder why you waited. TMS is "The New Way Back" to being your New Self, without depression.

A relative of mine has been on depression meds for more than 10 years and under the care of a psychiatrist nothing seems to be helping. She stays in the bed all day and don't socialize in anyway. She is 70yrs all. Is it possible you can send some literature as well as a phone number were we can contact you.

Thank you for answering

Rhonda, Robb, & others wanting to know where/whether TMS treatment is available: Neuronetics, the company that makes the approved machine, has a website at http://www.neurostartms.com/. That page has a link to a form where you can request info on treatment availability. (The form generated an error for me just now; if it doesn't work, we can always try to reach the company other ways.)

Where in the United States is this therapy administered? I live in Florida...are there any clinics or hospitals in the southeast (Florida, Alabama, & Georgia) where they practice this? I have been diagnosed for quite a while with manic-depression.

Thanks,
Robb
