Perimenopause, menopause and even menstrual irregularities can wreak havoc on a woman's mental health. Women's hormones do seem to contribute to depression in a way that is unique to their gender. To imply that men's biology should be considered in a brochure on women's depression is rather baffling. In a brochure on women's depression, men's depression IS irrelevant. I don't see the problem there. In a world where women get flack for going to work and men get praise for not going to jail, I don't think men need or deserve a whole lot of coverage in a brochure ON WOMEN'S DEPRESSION. Yes, I am a cranky, menopausal hormonal, mentally ill beyatch. None of my issues are relevant to men. Get over it.
