My Space is here and most teenagers are using it or trying to get their parents permission to do so. It is a matter or supervising the activity like anything else. It can be dangerous and harmful if is not monitor. Teenagers have no fear of the world around them. Our job on the other hand is to love, teach, monitor and discipline them. I keep a close eye on my daughters My Space account. My deal was either I can check it out randomly or no My Space

I work in a high school, so I can tell you that most teens don't even know what a blog is, although many do have My Space pages (although they don't necessarily *blog* on their MySpace pages). We talk about making their My Space pages private instead of public. My sons stay in touch with friends in person, via texting, through their private My Space pages, and more. When I was a kid, I lost touch with people who moved 40 miles away. My sons stay in touch with people who moved away years ago and live across the country. This weekend, faced with major suicidal ideation, I chose to kill my blog instead of myself, so I'm no longer a blogger. It's funny, though, how you keep blogging in your head even when you don't have a blog online.
