		<description>[...] i just read an article on this topic. i think i agree with the fact that depression could really help someone develope themselves. everyone has to experience everything, one cannot be happy all the time, and with each wave of depression, i believe people grow. for example, when they experience loss, they begin to apreciate life more. but sometimes it can be desctructive to a person, like when someone drowns themselves in alchohol after losing their job or something of that sort. i think the best example of depression being constructive is the images artists see in their depression. i noticed that the more depressed i am, the more vivid and expressive my poems and drawings become. i dig into the places inside my head that i avoid to find these pictures that some find disturbing, yet powerful. i believe the things people learn about themselve when they are depressed and contemplating their lives can be a real learning experience to create beauty from it.
