It’s never a good day when you wake up to find that the support community you were trying to rebuild has again suffered from a hardware failure. And yet again, for the third time in as many years, BrainTalk Communities is down and unavailable to its users, and the default Mac OS X page can be found at the root of the URL.
We offer a safe, secure and reliable alternative to BrainTalk in the community setup for the same concerns — NeuroTalk. Check it out, as it’s been online for nearly a year now and has over 4,600 members. What’s the main difference between the two communities? Well, we run ours as a part of a larger ongoing Web concern (Psych Central), so it gets daily monitoring and attention, and remains ad-free.

BT is again back up, with no acknowledgment it was down for approx. 18 hours (a notice posted at 3 in the morning last night said it was due to “network issues”), and no information given to its members about its most recent downtime experience.
