Talking to Your Psychiatrist

By John M. Grohol, PsyD
Founder & Editor-in-Chief

In her recent blog entry, Day Of Reckoning, Seaneen shares the agony and angst of having to go to see your psychiatrist with a number of concerns and questions about the medications she’s taking, lithium and Seroquel. It is a great entry to read for anyone who’s ever had to talk to their doc about some concerns, knowing full well what his or her response is going to be (because when it comes to medications, some psychiatrists and docs repeat certain mantras almost without regard for the individual sitting in front of them).

The rest of her blog is also worth adding to your list of reads. This is a good example of someone blogging about their life and feelings, but with depth and insight. Although it’s only 3 months old, we hope Seaneen keeps it going for years to come.
