Brain Awareness Week

By Sandra Kiume

It’s Brain Awareness Week, an event promoted by the Society for Neuroscience to share info about the brain. Check out their web site for lots of interesting facts (did you know that to tell a cinnamon jellybean from a cherry jellybean your brain must use both the sense of taste and smell?). There are also events being held in schools all over the world. Your brain benefits from a “workout” (helps prevent neurodegenerative diseases in old age) so give it some exercise and learn some new things about it.
