Almost 500,000 face mental health woes in Indonesia’s tsunami-hit Aceh
Almost 500,000 tsunami survivors are facing mental health problems in Indonesia’s Aceh province, the World Health Organisation expert Benedetto Saraceno said, calling for support for those at risk.
“We may expect that almost half a million will experience something that will need psychosocial support and probably some 200,000 or more may require in the future psychiatric care,” said WHO expert Benedetto Saraceno.
