Psychological and social adjustment in teens with same-sex parents

This is the first study to collect multiple measures of adjustment from adolescent offspring of same-sex parents drawn from a large, diverse national sample. We found no significant differences in adolescents’ school achievement, psychological well-being, romantic relationships or sexual history when compared to their peers with male/female parents. Instead, adolescent adjustment was related to the qualities of parent-adolescent relationships.
