Our friends over at the Pew Internet and American Life Project announced today that over 68 million Americans are using broadband Internet access (55% of the population) at home or at work. Broadband are high speed connections to the Internet through DSL, cable, or other high speed technologies. 39% of Internet users at home use broadband connections, according to the Pew study, which is a 60% increase from just one year ago.
For the first time, more than half (52%) of a key demographic group – college educated people age 35 and younger – has broadband connections at home.
