I’m dating the son of my mom’s boyfriend.

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

I met my bf in the 7th grade when no one liked me, and my mom and his dad hadnt told us they were dating yet. i really liked him and he gave me more attention than anyone else had. a year later, he told me that he had feelings for me, and wanted me to be his first kiss. i was happier than i can remember ever being. Our parents had started dating and we had been dating in secret. He helped me overcome alot of my social anxiety and depression, and i can still tell him anything. I feel closer to him than i feel to best friend of 10 years, and even my mother. Our parents found out, and seperated us from each ...

I don’t know what I’ve done to make him want to leave.

Tuesday, June 26th, 2007

I cook, clean, raise the kids, wash clothes, take care of the house, have sex with my husband. I am insecure at times because of my mentally abusive dad who denied me as his daughter and a previous marriage in which I was abused mentally, physically and he had numerous affairs. My present husband of 6 years, whom has a very stressful job that he tells me he feels he can not do tells me after I ask him a question about a young woman, and if she is appropriate around him says, everything else in his life is good, but I am killing him, I make him feel like he wants to die, because of me-he can't wait to die. Said that I ...

Life is in dissarray

Monday, June 25th, 2007

Q. I was forced to resign from a job I loved due to a lie. I have been searching actively for employment, but feel my age has prevented me from getting the type of employment I deserve. I may lose my home, my car and here in the last week, I have been having great feelings of failure, which I'm sure carry over into job interviews. I have lost my confidence.

Then to top it all off my ex boyfriend calls and wants to have coffee out of the blue. He was a liar and was seeing at least two other women outside of me. We have not been together in three years...when I started to question him ... he simply walked out and changed

How to get help when little is available?

Monday, June 25th, 2007

Q. I was born the middle child, and only female, in a very dysfunctional family where I was eventually raised by my divorced mother of 3. I was subjected to a great deal of anger and abuse (sexual, emotional and physical) during my childhood. By the age of 15 I began suicide attempts. To this day I am uncertain if I really wanted to die or if I was just looking for some help. I have self-harmed by cutting (minimal - wrists twice),drinking, drugging, sleeping with men and the worst - constantly being on the run. I have 3 children (25, 21 and 17) from 3 different fathers. I have been diagnosed with chronic depression, which was later re-diagnosed as acute depression and then later ...

Is my sister schizoaffective?

Monday, June 25th, 2007

Q. I am writing on behalf of my sister Jessica. She is 23 years old and last November (2006) she suffered from a "mental breakdown". She believes that it was caused by medications that she had just started taking; they were an anti-anxiety med and Imatrex for migraines. She accidentally doubled her dosage of Imatrex out of confusion with her other medication. She went to the hospital emergency room and tried to explain what happened. She was so shaken, weak and had a hard time verbalizing what was wrong so they assumed she was suffering from a migraine and gave her another shot of Imatrex which I believe caused her to overdose. She was bed-ridden for about 3 days after. After the three days she ...

Husband has schizophrenia; Help!

Monday, June 25th, 2007

Q. Husband has schizophrenia, symptoms more intense & wants to give me "proof" to draw me in. What do I do? I am a full time working mom who supports her two kids (ages 11 and 2) and her husband who does not work because (1) it is cheaper for him to stay home with the kids and (2) it is very difficult for him to keep a job. I have been with my husband for 12 years. We have always had a loving, caring and open relationship. For the last six years, I knew something was going on with him, but it was little things like he would leave the video camera on "to make sure no one was coming in the house." No ...

I am pregnant and my ex has schizophrenia

Monday, June 25th, 2007

Q. I dated my ex for a couple of months, it didn't work out so we broke up. We always had communication problems. He had told me that he had been hospitalized for mental health reasons but I never knew details. Since we broke up I have found out that I am now 6 months pregnant. Speaking to him became very stressful so we didn't speak for a couple of months. I couldn't understand why he could never get a clear thought out or resolve any issues that we had. Now we have started talking again. Just today his sister called me to tell about his condition in detail. She said he is schizophrenic and is on medication. She said he is not able ...

Why I am obsessed with my doctor?

Monday, June 25th, 2007

Q. I have been completely obsessed with thoughts of my pdoc. I was diagnoses with bipolar 1 10 years ago. The years have been very difficult to say the least. I have gone through 8 psychiatrist before finding the pdoc that I have now. I've had him for 8 years. Naturally, I don't always agree with his treatment, but appreciate the fact that he listens to me and takes my concerns to heart when making medical decisions. Since having him, I have certainly known that he is a physician above the rest. His visits are a minimum of 45 min. sometimes lasting 1-1 1/2 hours depending upon the current situation. My bipolar has been very difficult to treat and I have refused to take many ...

Does my sister suffer from BPD?

Monday, June 25th, 2007

Q. My sister is 22 years old and has a lot of trouble with her temper. My parents stay with me now and she is working in another city. Whenever she comes to visit, my parents and I walk on eggshells as her temper flares up for no reason and at innocent remarks that we make. She starts arguing for no reason and it flares up into an violent rage and she shouts out hurful things like how we don't love her or care for her. After a few hours or the next morning, she forgets what she said the earlier day and is all sweetness and light. She never apologises for her behaviour and when we bring it up, she says that she ...

Is this DID or just schizophrenia?

Monday, June 25th, 2007

Q. Ok, let me start off saying I can't remember my past at all. The good the bad, nothing. There have been times when I was fighting with my boyfriend and a 'wave' would wash over me then I couldn't remember anything that just took place. I've had a voice talk to me named Katrina.. She's around the age where I believe something bad happened to me. Sometimes I dont feel whole and I feel like i'm not 'me'. Another scary thing thats happened to me was I had an Out Of Body Experience. I was looking out of my body, but what I was looking at was myself and it was an evil entity. That wanted to hurt my boyfriend. After a few ...

Do not be too moral. You may cheat yourself out of much life. Aim above morality. Be not simply good; be good for something.
