Q. My daughter Stephanie is doing a report for school on psychology. She needs to find out what a normal work week for a therapist is? And What their average pay is? Please answer soon since the report is due this week. We have searched the apa website and others but cannot find the answers she seeks. My college books are of no help even though the one is a psych book.

A. Check out the Occupational Outlook Handbook. It is available on the Internet and should provide the information you are looking for. They can be reached at: http://www.bls.gov/oco/. Once at the website homepage, look to the right hand side of the page and click on “Professional and related”. I believe the information you are looking for is under the job category of “counselor”.
